Measure Guide

Answer a few questions — we do the math

You measure the wall and the rod. We turn that into the exact size to order, sized to your header style and hem finish. Your size follows you to every fabric.

Step 1 of 5Window type

What are you covering?

Each window type asks for slightly different measurements — pick the one that looks like yours.

Pick your header style

The header decides how the panel hangs — and where you measure from. We ask now so every number that follows is the right one.

What's on the wall today?

If your hardware is up, we measure it. If not, we'll help you plan where it should go.

Measure the window

Two quick measurements — we do the rest.

Steel tapeNot a fabric or laser tape — fabric stretches, lasers misread on glass.

A
Rod width
Measure tip-to-tip, ignoring the decorative finials.
in
Tip: extend the rod 6–12″ past each side of the window so curtains stack off the glass.
B
Height to the floor
Measure straight down to the floor. We do the hem math for you on the next step — don't add or subtract anything.
in
Floors are rarely level — check the height at both ends of the window and use the smaller number.
Suggested: 2 panels
Rod placement rule of thumb: hang the rod 4–8″ above the window trim — the higher you go, the taller the room feels.
RULE 1
Submit the exact measurements — do not add or deduct anything. The hem math and hardware allowances are applied for you. If you adjust them too, the panel is adjusted twice.
RULE 2
Measure to the nearest inch — we cut in 1″ steps. Halfway between? Round width up and height down: the forgiving direction in each case.

How many panes does your bay have?

Bays usually have 3, 4, or 5 panes that wrap outward. We'll ask for one width per pane plus the overall height.

How should the hem finish?

Pick the look you prefer — we adjust your order length automatically. No arithmetic on your side.

Your size to order

Your measurements are ready

Your size is saved on this device — open any fabric and it's already filled in.
