About the fabric
Ainsley is a plain-weave pure linen with an even, clearly visible grid. Thicker yarns leave faint slubs and streaks through the solid, matte color, which gives each panel the natural irregularity of real linen, and the cloth falls in crisp, clean folds.
Dims the room, keeps the linen look. Ainsley is room darkening: it dims a room strongly, but it is not full blackout, so some light shows at the edges and through the cloth. That suits living rooms, dining rooms and guest rooms, and bedrooms where a little morning light is welcome.
Made for your window. Every panel is cut to the width and length you enter. Ainsley is woven extra wide and run sideways (railroaded), and lengths go to 100 inches.
Choosing a header. Double pinch pleats give Ainsley's midweight linen a crisp, classic finish. Box pleats sit flatter and more structured for a tailored look.
Seven matte colors, from the soft neutrals Ivory and Putty to the earthier Olive, Eucalyptus, Ochre, Terracotta and Rust. Order up to five free swatches to see them in your own light.

Width of each panel
Measure your rod tip to tip, ignoring the decorative finials, and divide by the number of panels. Fullness is sewn in for you, so don't add any.
Length: where to measure from
- Rod with rings: from the eye of a ring straight down to the floor.
- Track: from the top of the track down to the floor, then subtract 1″.
- No rod yet: mark where the top of the curtain will sit, 4–8″ above the window trim, and measure from that mark to the floor.
How the hem meets the floor
Choose a finish, then adjust the length you measured.
Example: the ring eye is 96″ from the floor and you want a break, so enter 97″.
The pleat is the sewn top of the curtain. It sets the look of the folds and decides whether you hang it from rings or a track. These are the styles made in this fabric.
Fullness is sewn in. Enter the finished width you want each panel to cover; we add the extra fabric each style needs.
Every curtain shows where its fabric sits on a four-step scale, from sheer to blackout.
Weight isn't the same as light level. Some of our heavier weaves still let daylight through; the weave and finish decide how much light is blocked.
Pleated panels arrive with adjustable hooks already on. Raise or lower a panel at its hooks to level the hem where the floor isn't flat.

Midweight cloth is the everyday weight: it holds a pleat and falls in even folds.
