Fabric details

FabricAR-09

Ainsley is a plain-weave pure linen with an even, clearly visible grid. Thicker yarns leave faint slubs and streaks through the solid, matte color, which gives each panel the natural irregularity of real linen, and the cloth falls in crisp, clean folds.

Terracotta transformed the den

The Terracotta Ainsley linen changed the whole mood of our den. It cuts the glare and gives us real privacy in the afternoon, but a warm glow still comes through. The color has depth because you can see the linen grid and small slubs.

Beautiful after steaming

The panels arrived with the light creasing I expect from linen, so I did spend time steaming them. Once hung, the Putty color and tailored folds looked genuinely custom. I would choose these again for a room where texture matters more than total blackout.

Real linen without looking rustic

I wanted real linen that did not look overly rustic, and the Ivory Ainsley hit that balance. The weave is clean and matte, the pleats look crisp, and the natural variations keep a large wall of fabric from feeling flat.

FAQs

The answers people ask us most. Still unsure? Talk to a person.

How do I measure?

Measure your rod tip to tip, ignoring the finials, and divide by the number of panels. Fullness is sewn in, so don't add any. For length, measure from the eye of a ring straight down to the floor. On a track, measure from the top of the track to the floor and subtract 1″. Read the measuring guide

Which pleat should I choose?

The pleat is the sewn top of the curtain. Double pinch is the classic and is included in the base price. Triple pinch is fuller and more formal, tailored pleats are clean and modern, and box pleats sit flat and crisp.

Can I see the colors first?

Yes. Order up to 5 free swatches of the real linen and see the colors in your own light. They're yours to keep.

What do the light levels mean?

Every curtain sits on a four-step scale from sheer to blackout. Ainsley is room darkening: the room is strongly dimmed, but it isn't full blackout.

What if my floor isn't level?

Panels arrive with adjustable hooks already on. Raise or lower a panel at its hooks to level the hem.

Do I need tiebacks?

They're optional: one per panel, in the same linen, $19 each. Ainsley is made unlined.

When will it arrive, and can I cancel?

It's made to order and delivered in 2–3 weeks. Cancel free within 12 hours; after that, a 25% fee covers the fabric and labor already committed. Because it's sewn to your size there are no returns, but any defect is replaced.
