About the fabric
Lockwood is an open-grid textured weave with a touch of linen in the blend. Small blocks of airy, open mesh alternate with denser, slubbed blocks, so the surface reads as a soft, irregular tone-on-tone check up close and a light, gently textured cloth from across the room. The finish is matte throughout.
Soft, filtered light. Lockwood softens and diffuses daylight and gives privacy by day, but it will not darken a room for sleeping. The open squares let a little more light through than the denser blocks around them, which suits living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens where you want the day to come in.
Made for your window. Every panel is cut to the width and length you enter. Lockwood is woven extra wide and run sideways (railroaded), so panels up to 240 inches wide are made without a seam. Lengths go to 100 inches.
Choosing a header. Double pinch and tailored pleats hold a crisp shape in this midweight cloth and keep the grid flat and easy to read between folds.

Width of each panel
Measure your rod tip to tip, ignoring the decorative finials, and divide by the number of panels. Fullness is sewn in for you, so don't add any.
Length: where to measure from
- Rod with rings: from the eye of a ring straight down to the floor.
- Track: from the top of the track down to the floor, then subtract 1″.
- No rod yet: mark where the top of the curtain will sit, 4–8″ above the window trim, and measure from that mark to the floor.
How the hem meets the floor
Choose a finish, then adjust the length you measured.
Example: the ring eye is 96″ from the floor and you want a break, so enter 97″.
The pleat is the sewn top of the curtain. It sets the look of the folds and decides whether you hang it from rings or a track. These are the styles made in this fabric.
Fullness is sewn in. Enter the finished width you want each panel to cover; we add the extra fabric each style needs.
Every curtain shows where its fabric sits on a four-step scale, from sheer to blackout.

Pleated panels arrive with adjustable hooks already on. Raise or lower a panel at its hooks to level the hem where the floor isn't flat.
