Fabric details

FabricCU-04

Laurence is a heathered weave. Light and dark yarns are mixed through the cloth with fine, pale streaks running down it, so each color reads as a soft, flecked blend rather than a flat shade. The finish is matte, and the deepest shade, Charcoal, carries a scatter of white flecks like a tweed.

The right soft neutral

The Sand color is exactly what our neutral living room needed. It lets daylight through without feeling sheer, and the mix of light and dark yarns gives the fabric depth without adding a pattern.

Charcoal with subtle tweed depth

Charcoal has a subtle tweed effect that looks much more interesting than a plain dark curtain. The little pale flecks show up close, while across the room the panels read as a soft charcoal and filter the glare nicely.

Much better than flat gray

I was deciding between Ash and a flat gray fabric, and Laurence was the better choice. The heathered surface is forgiving and looks different throughout the day. It is a practical, understated curtain rather than a statement piece.

FAQs

The answers people ask us most. Still unsure? Talk to a person.

support@theworkroomcompany.com

How do I measure?

Measure your rod tip to tip, ignoring the finials, and divide by the number of panels. Fullness is sewn in, so don't add any. For length, measure from the eye of a ring straight down to the floor. On a track, measure from the top of the track to the floor and subtract 1″. Read the measuring guide

Which pleat should I choose?

The pleat is the sewn top of the curtain. Double pinch is the classic and is included in the base price. Triple pinch is fuller and more formal, tailored pleats are clean and modern, and box pleats sit flat and crisp.

Can I see the colors first?

Yes. Order up to 5 free swatches of the real fabric and see the colors in your own light. They're yours to keep.

What do the light levels mean?

Every curtain sits on a four-step scale from sheer to blackout. Laurence is light filtering: daylight comes through softly, with privacy by day.

What if my floor isn't level?

Panels arrive with adjustable hooks already on. Raise or lower a panel at its hooks to level the hem.

Do I need tiebacks?

They're optional: one per panel, in the same fabric, $19 each. Laurence is made unlined.

When will it arrive, and can I cancel?

It's made to order and delivered in 2–3 weeks. Cancel free within 12 hours; after that, a 25% fee covers the fabric and labor already committed. Because it's sewn to your size there are no returns, but any defect is replaced.
