Fabric details

FabricAA-05

Everett is a yarn-dyed jacquard with the look of a fine tweed. Two tones of yarn are woven together, so each color reads as a soft heather rather than a flat shade: quiet, irregular flecks up close, and depth without pattern from across the room.

Fabric facts: 100% polyester · yarn-dyed jacquard · 482 gsm, heavyweight · blackout · up to 100″ long · dry clean only · cut and sewn to order, delivered in 2–3 weeks

Our blackout fabrics are woven tightly enough to block the light themselves, so there is no liner. Many blackout curtains add a stiff liner; ours stay soft and flexible.

Ready-made: a leading retailer's woven panel with a sewn-in blackout liner, 48″ × 96″, its nearest size. Custom workroom: a designer custom maker's woven pinch-pleat panel with a blackout liner, 50″ × 96″. List prices from their product pages, November 2026.

Ink has the look of fine tweed

The Ink Everett panels feel like a fine tweed from a distance. They darken our dining room when we need them to, but the two-tone yarn keeps the color from looking flat during the day.

Oat ties the room together

Oat is a soft heather rather than a solid beige. That small variation made the curtains work with both our warm sofa and cooler rug. They have good weight and fall in clean, deep folds.

Ivory is more interesting than expected

I ordered Ivory and was surprised by how much texture shows in side light. It is still quiet overall, but the tiny flecks make it much more forgiving than a smooth pale fabric. The blackout performance has been excellent.

FAQs

The answers people ask us most. Still unsure? Talk to a person.

support@theworkroomcompany.com

How do I measure?

Measure your rod tip to tip, ignoring the finials, and divide by the number of panels. Fullness is sewn in, so don't add any. For length, measure from the eye of a ring straight down to the floor. On a track, measure from the top of the track to the floor and subtract 1″. Read the measuring guide

Which pleat should I choose?

The pleat is the sewn top of the curtain. Double pinch is the classic and is included in the base price. Triple pinch is fuller and more formal, tailored pleats are clean and modern, and box pleats sit flat and crisp.

Can I see the colors first?

Yes. Order up to 5 free swatches of the real fabric and see the colors in your own light. They're yours to keep.

What do the light levels mean?

Every curtain sits on a four-step scale from sheer to blackout. Everett is blackout: it blocks the daylight.

What if my floor isn't level?

Panels arrive with adjustable hooks already on. Raise or lower a panel at its hooks to level the hem.

Do I need tiebacks?

They're optional: one per panel, in the same fabric, $19 each. Everett is made unlined.

When will it arrive, and can I cancel?

It's made to order and delivered in 2–3 weeks. Cancel free within 12 hours; after that, a 25% fee covers the fabric and labor already committed. Because it's sewn to your size there are no returns, but any defect is replaced.
