Fabric details

FabricBR-06

Hadleigh is a brushed herringbone: a fine, small-scale zigzag in two close tones of yarn, with a soft, slightly napped surface. Up close the herringbone is crisp and clear; from across the room it settles into a near-solid color with a gentle, mottled sheen, most noticeable in the deep Forest.

Our blackout fabrics are woven tightly enough to block the light themselves, so there is no liner. Many blackout curtains add a stiff liner; ours stay soft and flexible.

Ready-made: a leading retailer's woven panel with a sewn-in blackout liner, 48″ × 96″, its nearest size. Custom workroom: a designer custom maker's woven pinch-pleat panel with a blackout liner, 50″ × 96″. List prices from their product pages, November 2026.

Forest herringbone in changing light

Forest Hadleigh is beautiful in side light. The herringbone is clear when you stand near the window, then settles into a deep green from across the room. It gives us pattern without competing with the rug.

Greige texture without contrast

Greige feels almost like a solid until the afternoon sun hits the folds. I appreciate that the herringbone adds texture rather than contrast. These are heavy curtains and needed sturdy anchors.

A quiet tonal herringbone

The Oat color is very tonal and quiet, which was what I wanted for our bedroom. The brushed surface softens the zigzag and the blackout weight makes the pleats look substantial.

How do I measure?

Measure your rod tip to tip, ignoring the finials, and divide by the number of panels. Fullness is sewn in, so don't add any. For length, measure from the eye of a ring straight down to the floor. On a track, measure from the top of the track to the floor and subtract 1″. Read the measuring guide

Which pleat should I choose?

The pleat is the sewn top of the curtain. Double pinch is the classic and is included in the base price. Triple pinch is fuller and more formal, tailored pleats are clean and modern, and box pleats sit flat and crisp.

Can I see the colors first?

Yes. Order up to 5 free swatches of the real fabric and see the colors in your own light. They're yours to keep.

What do the light levels mean?

Every curtain sits on a four-step scale from sheer to blackout. Hadleigh is blackout: it blocks the daylight.

What if my floor isn't level?

Panels arrive with adjustable hooks already on. Raise or lower a panel at its hooks to level the hem.

Do I need tiebacks?

They're optional: one per panel, in the same fabric, $19 each. Hadleigh is made unlined.

When will it arrive, and can I cancel?

It's made to order and delivered in 2–3 weeks. Cancel free within 12 hours; after that, a 25% fee covers the fabric and labor already committed. Because it's sewn to your size there are no returns, but any defect is replaced.
